Join Ashley B for an energetic cardio workout can be done in either deep or shallow water. This 50-minute pool workout includes four types of high intensity intervals, with simple but powerful moves, for a fun and effective water workout.
Dual-Depth Water Workouts
Dual depth workouts can be performed in both deep and shallow water simultaneously without any modifications required. In order for this to be possible, the instructor who designs the routine has to make sure that the moves can be executed in both depths. Poolfit strives to include as many dual-depth workouts as possible because we believe doing so provides the best customer service. Aqua fitness enthusiasts have strong preferences for the depth they exercise in. Moreover, many people have home pools that have either limited deep or shallow space. If you are lucky enough to have access to both deep and shallow water, a dual-depth video is a bonus because you get two workouts. Trust me, the same workout provides different results in different depths.
Dual-Depth & HIIT
HIIT pool workouts are among the most popular on Poolfit. And as per a survey we did last year, subscribers also prefer dual -depth workouts because it gives them a choice. Therefore, a dual-depth HIIT workout is sure to be a HIT with many subscribers. HIIT is perfectly paired with dual-depth programming because the exercises in high intensity timed intervals tends to be simple, but powerful.
Split SplAsh Intervals
The Split SplAsh pool workout features four different types of high intensity intervals, each with different work and recovery timing ratios. In the video, Ashley demonstrates different ways to keep track of the timing, including a simple clock, an interval timer app and the phrasing of the music. The four types of intervals are repeated in the second half of the video with different exercises. The point here is to demonstrate just how easy it is to create a dual-depth HIIT program when using basic moves and simple timing ratios. Watch Ashley talk more about Split Splash.
Changing up the HIIT Water Workout
Many of the water workouts on Poolfit feature timed intervals. If you have been exercising in water for a while now, and you have a couple of favorite Poolfit interval workouts, you have probably already figured out by now that you can change up the moves in the timed intervals yourself. Maybe you don’t like some of the exercises. Just do a different exercise during that timed interval. Or maybe you like the workout but want to freshen it up with some new moves. You should feel completely empowered to do this. Please view the Split SplAsh template to better understand how you can easily own these timed interval workouts yourself by simply dropping in some of your favorite water exercises.
Poolfit extends thanks and gratitude once again to Ashley for providing subscribers with well thought out and designed programming. Ab Blast, a 20-minute pool noodle video with Ashley will post later this month.
