Water Fitness Training in 10's

Designed to improve stamina, muscular endurance and core strength, this pool exercise video is perfect for those days when you want a total body workout in a brisk 45 minutes.  Lori Templeman is back with another water workout and she wants you to know that this class has gotten the seal of approval from her aqua fitness students in Lincoln City, Oregon. 

Aqua 10 10 10
Created for shallow water, this pool workout includes 10 minutes of cardio, 10 minutes of upper body strength and 10 minutes of core training.   Lori uses Aqualogix belles in the strength segment, but no belles…no worries.  You can skip the equipment and just focus on moving the water’s resistance.  Watch Lori talk more about the Aqua 10 10 10 workout

Cardio 10
One of the essential components of fitness, cardiorespiratory endurance essentially translates into stamina, which is required to keep up with daily activities.  This 10-minute segment features big exercises that are designed to elevate your heartrate and get you in the aerobic fat-burning zone.

Upper Body Strength 10
The emphasis in this segment is on upper body strength.  Muscular strength and endurance are also essential components of fitness.  In the video, Lori is using Aqualogix Hi-speed belles, but webbed gloves can easily be substituted, or you can skip equipment entirely.  The water itself provides plenty of resistance.  Drag equipment like webbed gloves or Aqualogix belles simply increase that resistance.

Core 10
Core strength is important for optimal health and wellness.  All movement and activities of daily living (ADLs) emanate from the core of the body.  Among other things, a strong core improves posture and can help protect your lower back from injury.   A pool noodle is used in this segment for flotation purposes.  This allows the body to reposition for the spinal flexion and rotation that is needed to adequately target core muscles.
